The numbers I was given were 5, 7, 2, and 2. I recognized that, since 70+30=100 (the target amount), I should try to find something as close to 30 as possible. So the first combination I tried was 22 + 75, which gave me 97, and since it only has a distance of 3, this is the closest I will get to the target of 100.
