Square pairs
Take it in turns to play a counter. Can you pair them off to make square numbers?
To play this game you will need someone to play with, and counters or cards numbered 1-16.
Shuffle the counters or cards and share them equally with your opponent.
Decide who will go first.
On each turn, you can play a counter or card from your hand on the table.
Take it in turns to play a counter or card.
If you can pair your counter or card with a number that's already on the table so the total is a square number, you can take those two counters/cards and play again.
Keep playing until someone runs out of counters/cards. The other player can then continue to play until they have made all the possible square pairs.
The winner is the person who makes the most square pairs.
