In this workshop Becky will introduce platonic solids, explore the proof that there are only 5 of them, and extend to look at the achimedean solids. Becky will encourage students to use Polydron to link theoretical understanding of 3D shapes with practical exploration. Along the way students will learn about nets, angles, tessellations and a little bit about the history of geometry and why is was so important in ancient Greek times.
