I looked at the rectangle and saw it was split into quarters. I looked at each quarter in turn, starting with the lower right hand side. Number 5 is half of a quarter so it is 1/8 of the whole rectangle. Number 6 is half of Number 5, so it is 1/16. Number 9 is half of Number 6 so it is 1/32. Number 10 is again half the size of Number 9, so it is 1/64.
Then I looked at the top left quarter. Number 1 is half of a quarter but lengthways, so it is 1/8 of the whole rectangle.
I moved to the top right quarter, and saw Number 2 was half the size of Number 1, so it is 1/16. Number 3 is 3/16 as 3/16 + 1/16 = 4/16 or 1/4.
Finally, I solved the lower left quarter, by folding card into the triangles. I found number 8 to be 1/32, as 8 triangles make up the quarter and 8 x 4 = 32.
Number 7 is 3/32 and Number 4 is 2/32 = 1/16.
I checked that Number 4 and Number 6 are equivalent by cutting up my triangles and re-arranging them into a rectangle.
