Shape 1. The whole thing was split into a quarter and the top left hand one I just halved it and it equalled 1/8.
Shape 2. Shape two was half the size of shape 1 so because shape 1/8 shape two would equal 1/16.
Shape 3. shape 3 = shape 1 and 2 1/8 = 2/16. So 1/16 + 2/16 =3/16.
Shape 4. Half of the bottom left 1/4 is 1/8 half of that=1/16 and half of that =1/32.1/32 is the size of a white triangle. A white triangle is the size of 1/2 shape 4 so 1/32 x 2 = 1/16.
shape 5. shape 5 is half of the bottom right 1/4 so that is 1/8.
shape 6. shape 6 is half of shape 5 so that is 1/16.
shape 7. shape 7 is 3 x a white triangle and a white triangle = 1/32 so that is 3/32.
shape 8. shape 8 is one of the white triangles and a white triangle= 1/32 so that's what shape 8 =1/32.
shape 9. shape 9 = 1/2 of shape 6 so that is 1/32.
shape 10. shape 10 is half of shape 9 so that is 1/64.
