To solve this problem we worked in pairs. We used the number cards 1-15 and thought about which pairs of numbers add up to 15. After that we chose one pair and tried adding to make the third number. We used trial and improvement and kept moving the number cards. We found two solutions which you can see in our pictures. Throughout the lesson we worked together and discussed what we should do next.
