Maths Week England 2023

Maths Week England aims to provide young people in England with a positive image of mathematics, and to contribute in a small way to improving the national attitude towards this vital subject.

To celebrate Maths Week England, from the 13$^{th}$ to the 17$^{th}$ November 2023, we have created three videos which introduce NRICH tasks, a different task for each age group.

We will give everyone a chance to send in solutions by the evening of Wednesday 15$^{th}$ November, to give us time to publish them by the end of the week, on the morning of Friday 17$^{th}$ November.

Ages 7 to 10 - Largest Even

You can have a go at this challenge using the interactivity in Largest Even.

In your solutions, please send us your strategy for finding the largest possible even number for two-digit, three-digit and/or four-digit numbers. Please use the 'Submit a Solution' tab of Largest Even to send us your solution.

Ages 10 to 13 - More Less is More

You can have a go at this challenge using the interactivity in More Less is More.

Please send us your solution(s) and the thinking behind it/them. Please use the 'Submit a Solution' tab of More Less is More to send us your solution(s).
