Lucy in the City

Lucy the raccoon gets lost in the city, and has to retrace her steps in order to find her way home. Luckily, she meets an owl who can fly high over the city and give her directions. This story uses lots of directional language, as well as directions in the form of 'one block east and two blocks south'. It would link well with a topic on compass points or with an activity about giving directions on a grid.
