This free event for Y9 students aims to help students develop their mathematical reasoning, problem solving and perseverance, by exploring engaging mathematical activities in new contexts. The day is designed to help students develop their mathematical problem solving skills at the start of their journey exploring the GCSE curriculum, and to encourage the further study of mathematics at A-level
and beyond.
The day consists of a mixture of highly interactive mathematical activity talks and hands-on problem-solving workshops led by the NRICH team. There will also be opportunities for accompanying staff to talk to the NRICH team and gather ideas for embedding problem-solving in the GCSE Mathematics curriculum.
