Consider the sequence

$$1, \quad 1 + \cfrac{1}{1}, \quad 1 + \cfrac{1}{1 + \cfrac{1}{1}}, \quad 1 + \cfrac{1}{1 + \cfrac{1}{1 + \cfrac{1}{1}}}, \quad \dotsc .$$

What do you make of it?

What about
