• Sums of Consecutive Numbers - hard, might take all term !

Many numbers can be expressed as the sum of two or more consecutive integers.

For example 15 = 7+8 10 = 1+2+3+4

Can you say which numbers can be expressed in this way and which numbers cannot be?

Can you prove your statements?

Successful problem-solving often needs us to work systematically

• TWO + TWO = FOUR is a nice problem to practise on.

• Take Three from Five is another good one.

We're also going to get good at Algebra

• Interactive Number Patterns will let us have fun finding the formula for a pattern,

or finding any of the numbers when we know the formula.
