Would someone kindly teach me how to integrate x ex with respect to x?

Thanks, Derek

Substitute y=x, then use integration by parts.

Let me know how you get on,

Andre

Wow it works brilliantly!

Originally I was confused because dy/dx=1/2x and that wasn't anything immediately recognisable. Now I realise dx=dx/dydy where dx/dy=2x.

Thanks!
