There are $n$ people in a field and no two pairs of people are at the same distance apart. Each person has a gun that shoots water. Each person shoots at and hits the nearest person to them. Show that if $n$ is even everyone may get wet. Show that if $n$ is odd, and $n\geqq 3$, we can be sure that there will be someone who does not get wet.
