NQT Inspiration Day for Primary and Secondary Teachers

Stage: 1, 2, 3 and 4

Tuesday 18 July 2017, 10am - 3.30pm

NRICH teacher CPD workshop

Consolidate and develop the experience gained in your first year of teaching by joining the NRICH team for a free mathematics professional development day.

A free professional development event for newly qualified teachers of mathematics (NQTs) coming to the end of their first year in schools, run by the NRICH team. The event will cover Key Stages 1-4, with tailored workshops for each phase.

This event will give an opportunity to reflect on your first full year of classroom mathematics teaching, and network and share experiences with other colleagues at the same stage in their careers.

The day will focus on:
  • Supporting the key aims of National Curriculum - problem-solving, reasoning, and fluency
  • Extending your knowledge and understanding of effective pedagogies for delivering rich mathematics in the classroom
  • Exploiting the potential of NRICH's extensive free resources to build learners' capacity to be resilient problem-solvers
Thanks to generous support from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, we can offer free places to teachers at UK state-sector schools, colleges and academies.
