This one has had people thinking! Several solutions have been sent in now, but so far only this one, from Hale fits all the 'rules' of the problem.

If the positions are numbered 1 to 10 then:

  1. 4 to 1
  2. 6 to 9
  3. 8 to 3
  4. 2 to 5
  5. 10 to 7
