Dear AskNRICHers

We wanted to give you an advance update on what will be happening to AskNRICH.

AskNRICH was originally launched in 1997, and currently runs on software that is only a little younger than the internet. We have been looking at ways to bring the discussion service into the current century for a while it needs a radical technical overhaul. We would also like to explore ways to encourage both new users and closer links with its parent project, NRICH.

After considering various options, we have decided that AskNRICH will temporarily go into retirement from the end of July (as the end of the current UK school year) while we design a new forum, which will then have a new launch. The AskNRICH boards will therefore close on 31st July 2014. Existing discussions will, however, remain viewable as an archive for the time being.

Thank you all for your support of the boards and the AskNRICH community, whether recently or over many years.

Best wishes,

Lynne McClure
Director, NRICH
