Hi Alan,

I'm afraid you're going to have to grab a calculator, but to help you along - there's 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, so, assuming the millennium begins at midnight on January 1st 2000 (some people claim it begins in 2001, so you'll have to add on another 366 days' worth of minutes - don't forget 2000 is a leap year), there are
2 + 1*60 + 21*60*24
minutes to the millennium. Can you see where all my terms are coming from?
If the next millennium did begin on January 1st 2001, how many minutes are there until then? Also, how many seconds are there until then?

How old are you in seconds, Alan? I'm about 630 million seconds old.

Alastair (feeling old)

And getting older at an alarming rate of course!
