Percentages for Key Stage 4

There are four resources on this page that utilise ICT and involve
perentages.
Two card matching games
In order of difficulty of the calculation are:

and Fractions Card Game
These two games encourage mental agility and familiarity with the
equivalence of fractions, decimals and percentages.
100 Percent
This
game could be extended to work on any grid and with two dice
and played in the classsroom on different rectangular grids. It can
be used to emphasise a percentage as part of a whole and that
therefore a percentage can have a different absolute value
depending on the size of the whole.
The legacy
This
modelling problem can be used as a whole class activity -
looking at the effects of different percentage changes in
ready-made spreadsheets (see the
hints tab ) or as a starting point for creating models of their
own.
