This is a game for you to play against a friend.
You must take it in turns to place a domino on the grid so that each domino covers two squares. One of you is only allowed to place your dominoes horizontally and the other must place dominoes vertically.
The winner is the person who manages to make it impossible for his/her opponent to play.

The interactivity is set up with blue horizontal dominoes and green vertical dominoes.
Play the game a few times.
Can you work out which player will win? What is the winning strategy? What might be winning moves?
You could change the grid shape and/or size. How does this affect the strategy?
